Oregon Medical Association (OMA) partners with Oregon Rx Card
(Portland, OR) – The Oregon Medical Association (OMA) expands support for Oregon's free statewide prescription assistance program. Oregon Rx Card provides savings of up to 75% on prescription drugs at local pharmacies. This program has no restrictions to membership, no income requirements, no age limitations and there are no applications to fill out.
"OMA believes this is an easy and innovative way to help patients get the prescription drugs they need," said Joanne K. Bryson, CAE, Executive Vice President and CEO of the Oregon Medical Association. "We encourage all of our physicians to be proactive in making these cards accessible to their patients."
Since 2009, Oregon Rx Card has saved residents over $13.6 million on their prescription costs since inception. Oregon Rx Card is designed to help the uninsured and underinsured residents afford their prescription medications. Oregon residents can visit www.theOMA.org/rxdiscount to print a card. Residents with no internet access can also visit any Safeway pharmacy location in Oregon and ask the pharmacist to process their prescription through the Oregon Rx Card.
